The government's Energy Company Obligation Scheme helps to reduce carbon emissions and address fuel poverty. The PPS is based upon the measure installed; project starting SAP Band; TFA and, for heating measures the pre and/or post main heating source for property. The PPS for a measure is awarded when that measure is lodged on the TrustMark Data Warehouse as TrustMark are introducing the ability to do government storage heater replacement scheme lodgements for a project under ECO4, referred to as Stages of the Retrofit Plan.

Problem is everyone is out for the quick buck, what percentage of engineers are actually bothered about the system they fit? 10/15%? Eco schemes are all about making money and ticking boxes, not really fitting efficient systems, country is full of 4 hour boiler swaps.

Under ECO, large energy companies, such as British Gas and EDF, EON, etc, are required to deliver energy efficiency improvements to domestic premises. It is up to the energy companies to determine which measures they choose to fund, the level of funding they provide and the installer they choose to work with. The ECO 4 scheme which was launched by UK Government in the Autumn 2018 provides free replacement electric storage heating heaters. It will run until 2022, reducing heating costs as well as their carbon footprint. The government requires major energy suppliers to finance the Energy Company Obligation scheme. This means that all the large energy suppliers are required to enhance energy efficiency across the United Kingdom in order to reduce the country's carbon emissions.
